a credit memo

Sue,

We need to be able to enter a credit memo to a customer (e.g. freight allowance, not against a specific item). The first thought was to enter a new product with a negative price value and call it "credit memo." The problem that this poses is that we cannot enter a value greater than 999 due to the size of the value. Please advise.
